To contact Linda

Linda begins any counselling agreement with an invitation to a conversation (either on the phone or at an informal meeting), in which Linda describes the difference between counselling and psychotherapy so that the client can best identify their starting point, at least for the initial session.

In this conversation Linda will also offer an outline of the way she works, should the client wish it.

Linda is a client-focused counsellor with a dedication to facilitating the client’s wisdom and empowerment throughout the counselling / psychotherapy process.

* Philophonetics Counselling (called Psychophonetics)

This is a relatively new approach in the field of psychotherapy and Linda became one of its first practitioners.

It pertains to the Artistic/Action therapies and is client-centered. It was developed out of Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy by Yehuda Tagar, who trains both practitioners and trainers, and Linda was in one of the first groups to be trained in 1991.

While verbal-counselling remains a major component, Psychophonetics has the added potential of making the client's non-verbal content available to the counselling process via ‘artistic elements’ such as visualization, sound and gesture, and then offers a way of addressing this content also applying non-verbal methods. It uses non-verbal and artistic methods to call upon the inherent wisdom of the Body, rather than relying upon intellectual and cognitive processes alone.

Another main aspect of the approach is its potential to empower the client not only in relation to their presenting issue, but also in relation to their counselling relationship with the practitioner.
