It is a struggle to learn when we have blockages (conscious or unconscious) that inhibit our learning in various ways. Based upon an Anthroposophically-inspired understanding of Learning processes. Also relevant to those teaching children (including parents) or adults.

4. The Lifespan in 7-Year Cycles (Developmental Psychology)

An introduction to the basic pictures of how we develop throughout childhood, adolescence & adulthood, particularly in terms of learning and consciousness….evolving through ‘7 year phases’. These pictures are a foundation for the later, advanced course ‘Biography Work’. These pictures are the basis of all of Artbeat’s courses / workshops related to working with all age groups and oneself.

How the development of one’s Will evolves throughout life and is contingent upon certain protection & nourishment.

6. The Relationship of Artistic Practice to the above pictures

Art in education and therapeutic work.

* Pictures from other authors and teachers will be included throughout the course,
however this workshop will focus mostly upon Steiner’s pictures.

* The pictures offered throughout the course will be offered for individual exploration,
in the spirit of freedom, not as a closed belief system to be adopted by participants.

For it to be a developmental course the study needs to have roots growing down to a firm foundation. The image is that of an organic orchard: a variety of trees but all growing from the same evolving earth.

This Module aims to prepare participants with an introductory overview of some of Anthroposophy’s foundational pictures of human life. Whether working with Anthroposophy upon your own inner life, or with children, adolescents or other adults, these pictures are the foundation.

These 6 Pictures are recommended for a deeper understanding of each of the other courses and workshops offered by Artbeat, however registration in other courses and workshops may still be possible without this first Module. Each registration is considered individually.

If you attend Artbeat’s other workshops without these foundation pictures you may not get the full benefit from the workshops, although some workshops are more ‘self-contained’ than others, and some require little or no theory and prior experience to be enjoyable and fulfilling in their own right.

If you already have these pictures from your previous studies then you may not need to do this module. However, those with the pictures already, may still find it useful to attend this ‘6 Pictures’ Workshop for the purpose of revision, deepening, or for the pleasure of the group experience. Your learned input into the group will also be very welcome.
