Artistic Therapies Practice: Introduction to Colour Work & Clay Work

Extending the theory from Module 2 into hands-on practice with Colour Work and Clay Modelling, in relation to their educational and therapeutic potentials.

We can ask not only what we can do with the colours and the clay but more so, how they work upon us.

We can ask what we ‘owe’ the colours and the clay, not only what they can give us.

There is so much more to artistic activity than ‘self-expression’!

Exploring the differences, inwardly, between working with the various colours, and also the differences between working with the mediums of colour and clay?

Colour       Working with the 3 ‘Shining Colours’ (yellow, blue &
                  magenta) and the offspring of their ‘marriages’.

                  The colours as a rainbow bridge for ensouling ourselves
                  and the world.
 
                  The colours and the life of human Feeling.
                  
                  Based upon Goethe’s theory of colour exercises.

Clay          Meeting the Clay on the threshold into the 3rd
                 dimension of ‘form’.
                 
                 The relationship of clay modelling to the development
                 of Will.
